Aanya Shah

Aanya is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University and is fascinated by law and history. She is the founder of the International Young Leaders Council (IYLC) and Sustain a Child, a podcast and website meant to educate people about different non-profits around the world and the ways in which these organizations address child protection. Additionally, Aanya is an International Relations researcher having researched a produced a 24-page thesis with the Pioneer Research Program, under the mentorship of NYU professor Maha Hosain Aziz. She also attended a rigorous program at the Oxford University where she produced an original paper titled, “China’s Economic Growth: The Effects and Consequences on the World.” ​

As an aspiring social sciences researcher, Aanya was evoked to create a platform for other students. Throughout visits to India, she got to see the other world. She was determined to create a platform for students to come together to do something globally important for the children on the streets of India and around the world.
